A New Generation of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Timepiece

A New Generation Of The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Timepiece

For any watch enthusiast, the launch of a new watch collection is quite exciting! Even more so when it’s the launch of a new line for the world-famous TAG Heuer Aquaracer. The Aquaracer has been THE sports watch in the TAG Heuer line due to its many outstanding features including 300m water resistance. This Timepiece Collection has had huge appeal for years in the watch industry.

Therefore it comes with no surprise that every year there is great anticipation for the new models to be launched. Usually, we see small changes for example colour or the band style that is changed to keep with the latest trends. However, this year TAG Heuer exceeded all our expectations by changing not only the colours but the case as well!

Although these changes are subtle they make a huge difference in functionality and the way the watch folds around your arm. The new line boasts various new intricate features that change the entire look of your watch.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the outstanding features the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer has.

The Undeniable Case Change

The Aquaracer is an instantly recognisable timepiece due to its design. The new models have a diameter of 44mm and weigh roughly 183 grams, which is significantly less than the previous models – this ensures more comfortable wear. Adding to this, the case is only 12.3mm thick.

Furthermore, something that might seem insignificant, but actually adds a really lovely, additional shine to this watch is the polished chamfer of the case flanks. The polished chamfer creates a soothing light play on the wrist which truly lifts the watch and makes it more dressy.

Iconic Bezelm

Any watch enthusiast knows the importance of the bezel feel. In the 2021 Aquaracer model the bezel is easy to turn and has quite a resonant and satisfying click as you move the bezel. The new model also has extra serration with 5 notches taken out of each side of the bezel offering an improved grip to turn.

Design of the Dial

The new Aquaracers look a lot less fussy. The dial has been simplified with new markers and less text. The hands are less complicated with a beefier aesthetic. The most noticeable change on the dial is the movement of the date window from 3 to 6 o’clock and the cyclops mounted inside the crystal glass as opposed to being on top.

Fine Adjustment Clasp

TAG Heuer has also fitted a new bracelet with a tool-less micro-adjust system in the clasp. It offers 1.5 cm of extension and can be adjusted without removing the watch from your wrist.

Blending a luxe, almost dressy feel, with an eminently wearable sports watch, The Aquaracer has long been many enthusiasts’ first choice in luxury sports watches. To that end, the new Aquaracer offers the important cornerstones of what TAG Heuer embodies. From the hands to the dial and even the adjustable clasp the new Aquaracer generation is a welcomed addition to our collection.
