We are so blessed to have the Mkhwanazi* family within our team. They are passionate about their work and strive to deliver excellent quality workmanship with each product. They have been an unmissable part of our workshop quality and deliver the standard of excellence to our customers.
In 1994 when Elizabeth* became a polisher at Deonne le Roux Jewellers, because of her skill we upgraded her to be a goldsmith. A few years later we needed more goldsmiths so we started training her brother, James*. (It is not likely for so many people of one family to work for one company.) Elizabeth and James were so happy working at Deonne le Roux Jewellers, that Priscilla* – Elizabeth’s daughter – also became part of our team in 2011.
This guarantees the quality of our craftsmanship for our customers. The big benefit here is that because we have skilled people with many years of experience we can 100% guarantee that our valued clients will receive exquisite jewellery!
The problem most people face when customizing a ring is that they have no way of knowing how the end product will look. Think about it, how will you feel when you receive your dream ring and you don’t like it? With us, this won’t be the case! Due to our experience, we can guarantee that you will LOVE your new ring.
This is the same when it comes to jewellery repairs, many of the jewellery repairs we do are family heirlooms. These items have a high sentimental value that outweighs the monetary value of the items. It is too valuable to entrust these items and not be sure to get a good end-result

Elizabeth, Expert in Jewellery Repairs & Cleaning
Elizabeth was looking for a job opportunity and received our number from a mutual acquaintance. Elizabeth came for an interview and we loved her so much she started immediately. Now 28 years later she is still part of our family.
When asked ‘What is your role at Déonne le Roux Jewellers’ she answered: “I think I am playing a big role in the company as I specialize in jewellery repair, plating of rings and jewellery cleaning. I provide excellent quality products so that our sales consultants may sell with pride and the customers are happy with their products.”
We asked Elizabeth what her experience has been like working for Deonne le Roux Jewellers and she said: “ it’s a great experience because it has taught me to be strong and handle difficult situations whilst keeping the great standard of the company. I have a solid work ethic thanks to the experiences I’ve had here”.
A follow-up question was According to you, what makes Deonne le Roux Jewellers different? Elizabeth confidently said “We are totally different! We care for the environment, we work as a team, almost as a family. Our management team is good and I think the sales consultants are excellent at deescalating situations and finding a way to make customers happy”.
Elizabeth ended our conversation with the following statement “I think overall, I am raved about the atmosphere of professionalism the company continually demands excellence while still allowing a healthy and positive work environment that is what I love about Deonne le Roux Jewellers.”
James, Our Senior Goldsmith
Our trusted goldsmith, James, has been part of our family since 2001. His sister, Elizabeth introduced him to our team and he has since gained 20 years of experience by learning and growing in our team.
We asked James what makes Deonne le Roux different, he stated “among other things quality, great achievements, learning, teamwork, the company culture and good management is what makes Deonne le Roux different”.
Furthermore, on the question ‘what do you love most about working for Deonne le Roux’ he stated ‘I enjoy working with my team in a positive environment. The work is challenging but exciting”.
Priscilla our trusted jewellery repair technician
Priscilla started working for us in 2011 and has accumulated 11 years of experience in jewellery repair and polishing. Her journey with us started when her mother, Elizabeth, introduced her to our management team and we’ve never looked back.
When asked ‘what is your role at Deonne le Roux and what has her experience working here been like?’ Priscilla answered: “I am a bench worker. I am responsible for jewellery repairs, polishing and rhodium plating. My experience working for Deonne le Roux has been amazing as I didn’t know anything about being a bench worker and I learned everything I know from my colleagues (who are my mother and uncle). I love what I do and it is really exciting.”
As we continued our conversationPriscilla explained what makes Deonne le Roux different: “The working environment is good, the people who are working here are hard workers and they love their work. Our service is good and we all work as a team”.
A follow-up question was ‘What do you love most about working here? She excitedly answered “working with jewellery is amazing! It is really challenging and that is what I love about it. I get to learn something new every day”.

Brother, Sister and daughter, this little family is a big part of the Deonne le Roux family. We asked them what it is like working alongside your family members and they had this to say:
Elizabeth said “it’s very good because we are from the same family and we understand each other and can motivate each other.”
Priscilla said, “it is great because we work as a team and they always tell me to work hard.”
James said, “There is a great amount of happiness, the main thing is trust and loyalty between us”.
The love between these family members is heartwarming and having them as part of our team is a true blessing. Elizabeth, Priscilla and James thank you for being part of our Deonne le Roux family.
